ImageIn honor of its 100th anniversary in 2014, the Rotary Club of Saginaw updated its exchange banners (pictured), member badges and giveaway pins to tell some of the history of our area.

Depicted are the Bean Bunny neon sign (reflecting the fact we are a world leader in growing and exporting navy beans), the Saginaw River (which runs through our city), sugar beets (we are a world leader in sugar production), the shape of our state, and the white pines (from our lumber era).

Did you know that the Rotary Club of Saginaw was the 93th Rotary club formed worldwide and the third in Michigan, behind Detroit and Grand Rapids. Today there are 34,400 Rotary Clubs worldwide.
